I will proly buy the game but wont be playing as a squad. If you guys decide to then i will support you 100% Just wont see me in the battles...at lest not for a long time.. There are some real pros in there from the old BF games that just dominate the servers..I for one am not up to the jet flying. This is not a game for me. I'm a run and gun kinda guy and BF2 is far from that. Sux ass cause i was really wanting to play a new game like this with the squad. This game has pisst me off. Basically i don't have what it takes to even be close to compete in this gay ass flunking game..

Stick with simple games and good graphics... cheap too :P

for what its worth there are servers that have no jets or helis etc. I was in 1 the other day which pretty much was strictly grunt warfare with a few vehicles..... was definetly fun.

the game has the ability to appeal to a broad range of players-- you dont like jets?? me neither, I flew 1 once and crashed and dont want to have to use a joystick to play so I dont bother with jets or helis.

all jets do is chase each other and do some bombing but seems boring to me.

bf2 has the ability to let you play the way you like to- if you want to run and gun, then you have to learn how to do it. most weapons you cannot use in a run and gun manner.

if you prefer to hide and pick off your targets, again a diferent weapon and tactic must be applied.

what I found:

run and gun- use the assault weapons, go full auto if target is close (around 20 m) otherwise use bursts and even go prone, or use the 203- 203 works very well.
the saw is very effective but it seems most effective prone- if you see a group of targets and they dont see you yet, go prone with saw and you can definetly take out at leasst 3.

additionally you will do better if you aim for the head- headshots = 1 shot 1 kill. all soldiers have body armor and usually takes about 4 body shots for a kill.

You can take out longer range targets very very effectively by using single shot mode, especially with the special forces weapons. aim the head, single shot mode while prone is tremendously acurate.

Im a noob in bf2 yet I can go in most servers and kick all their butts :)
